Hillary Prag Photography

Another photographer/friend I'd like to share with everyone/anyone: I first met Hillary Prag while I was attending Seattle Pacific University. Together, we started a photography club. I honestly didn't really know what I was doing. She on the other hand most certainly did. We've lost touch but I recently ran across her website on facebook (oh facebook...) and, as always, was quite taken with her work. Go take a gander here. Hillary has a fantastic eye and a big heart. I hadn't realized she'd gone to Uganda and Haiti since the last time I saw her, but you can see her amazing work over there on her website. She also does weddings.

Lauren Weeks Photography

I'd like to introduce a friend. Lauren of Lauren Weeks Photography and I have been friends a short time but we definitely click in more ways than one (yes that was a pun and yes I totally kill myself with my amazing humor). Lauren was one of my photographers at my wedding and definitely captured my day in a style that fit what I was envisioning. It was amazing to be able to sit back and know that she was capturing my memories. What they say is SO true: the day flies by so quickly and before you know it, you're running through bird seed with your lover's hand in yours, making your escape to the car. And you suddenly think...I'm married? Wait, how did that happen SO fast? It's amazing really.

I truly appreciate Lauren's eye for photographer. She definitely has a leg up (if not several steps as well as a leg up) on her grasp of photography vs. mine but I hope to learn much from her. She recently started a blog and wrote an entry about my wedding day that was really sweet and touching. Check out her blog here. I'll also have her blog under my 'They Inspire Me' list of people who, obviously, inspire me.

Lauren and I have found ourselves on the same path: both interested in photography and going professional, both married to Marines who fly in Prowlers, both having recently relocated to North Carolina...you get the picture. I hope to get to know her better as we take a photography class together (YAY!) and just hangout in general. Yay for friends with similar interests!

Hello?

It has been MUCH too long since I've posted something on here. So much has happened. Moved, got married (out of order), bought a house, still in the process of moving. Etc. Etc. But here I am! My first real family/baby photo session...on the day my now-fiance asked my dad if he could marry me! It was a good day. :) See more baby pictures on my flickr account.

My First Wedding

My first wedding...I finally put it up. My friend Scott asked me to be the photographer for his daughter Sondra's wedding. As it turned out, they had already hired a photographer but he asked me to do it also. It was nice not being the ONLY one taking pictures so I could relax at some points. It was an awesome experience and I'm grateful for it. Check out their album here.
